Contract Exteriors Annual Myrtle Beach Food Drive

Helping-Hands

For the 2nd year in a row, Contract Exteriors hosted a food drive to help support Helping Hands of Myrtle Beach.

Helping Hands is a short-term crisis & referral agency which seeks to address the needs in our community. These needs are not met by other existing institutions in the Myrtle Beach area. The future of the less fortunate lies in the hands of others that are willing to help and give back to their community.

All of the supplies that are donated to Helpings Hands helps to break the cycle of homelessness and gives a person the opportunity to support themselves. As a result, our Myrtle Beach market was able to donate 370 pounds of food this year!

Our Charleston market participated as well and donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank. The Lowcountry Food Bank focuses on educating and providing the nutrients that families, children, and the elderly need. They describe it as “ensuring health and wellness from the cradle through college and beyond.” With their combined efforts they were able to raise 213lbs of food!

In 2018, a total of 583 pounds of food was donated. We are excited to continue this tradition year after year. Hard times can fall on anyone, working together can create a better tomorrow.
